Hey all, can someone recommend a PLA-on-PLA lubricant? Is hardware store silicone spray suitable for the job?

In the Mendel90 BOM @nophead recommends lithium grease for the gears on the extruder… although the gears I have are ABS I think it’d still get the job done pretty well.

I use lithium on all my gears its fantastic

Is lithium grease toxic? What if the object is hand held ?

silicone spray is very good

There is food grade lube like used in canneries, not sure where you would find it.

Is using the object with gloves an option? I’m not sure if it’d irritate the skin but if it’s not an everyday object then maybe using with gloves would be an option.
