Hey all. I know we have discussed BEC circuits and how they can be useful when designing wireless lighting applications and wearables. But I just came across this gem of a product that we all should be aware of. This and a few small lipos could power a few hundred leds with minimal space and almost zero knowledge of electronics.

Wow, that’s loads better than the POL buck converters I’ve been looking at – and it comes pre-packaged to boot! Thanks for the heads-up!
The 1 review it has points out a few things I’d be concerned about though.
That is the USA listing of the item. If u look at the international warehouse listing, there are many other reviews. I personally have used one to power a full 144/m strip left on all white for over a day, and i didn’t even get any heat off of the BEC. i don’t know if the 20A holds strong, or how long it can safely handle 20A. But from the two that i have used, it seems to be a decent product.
Hmm. They seem to have poor quality control based on those reviews. I already have mine, so I better get cracking testing them…
