Hey all!
I’m going to order some new LEDs, primary for home installations, and probably also some POV projects.
Since it’s long time since my last order, i would like to hear which vendors and chipsets you prefer, i know of szledcolor.

SO, what are your favorite supplier for thees strips alibaba, aliexpress or ? ?
I’am very interested in some links, and also prices on your favorites!

I would like to buy some cheap ones for the home installations, maybe SK6812 or ws2812 and APA102 for POV.

I like the SK6812 because: RGBW. I know the support for that chip is only in the works, so i’m not sure whether i should buy them or not, at the moment. Does FastLED support RGB, for that chipset yet?

My 2 favorite stores on aliexpress are https://www.aliexpress.com/store/701799 and https://www.aliexpress.com/store/312912 The SK6812 RGB chips work just fine with FastLED. I would recommend looking into the new SK9822 LEDs for your POV projects. You can ask @Leon_Yuhanov about how awesome they are.

I’ve generally use http://gree-leds.com for large purchases (cheaper, but you need a money order), but I’ve also used Ray Wu’s store for smaller orders.

I use http://www.szledcolor.com/ they are fast,accept paypal, deliver via DHL and customize orders wihtout issue. In the past i used http://www.tyrialight.com/ alot, stay away from them, My last 2 large orders were full of faults. had about 10 meters of 144pm strip that looked like they were soldered by a 2 year old. Ray Wus store on Aliexpress is also good

Are the prices generally the same, depending on the density and chipset for each vendor? I like http://szledcolor.com but can’t find any prices or where to buy, do i just have to write them or are the selling from another site?

@Simon_Hermansen Email Alan at admin@szlcoe.com he is from http://szledcolor.com he will send you a price list. In my experience the price is similar everywhere. Ray Wu seems to be slightly cheaper(cents cheaper)
