Nah it’s cool man. It’s not like I /need/ one right now (I already have two) … just thinking of a task it could take over. 
Run it really hard and you can use it to heat soup… that $400 on an oven?? What were you thinking?? (Unless it’s an uber-cool radiant/induction oven, in which case your geek credentials are restored!).
The oven was actually $250, however the additional parts that I bought to hack it is what took the cost up to $400. And it is an IR oven.
And what did you hack on your oven? I thought I was pretty cool hacking my (never used) slow cooker to make a sous-vide cooker… I can’t hang here ;(
