Hey all, i've taken a whack at putting all the files into GitHub.

Hey all, i’ve taken a whack at putting all the files into GitHub. This makes it much easier to find them, track revisions, add instructions, etc. You can find the Repo here: https://github.com/bryancostanich/OpenRC Let me know if any of you want commit access, especially, you, Dan. I don’t want to own the repo, but someone had to create it.

Ok, i did a lot of work tonight to consolidate lots of different things and add some organization and descriptions. check it out.

I’m new here, but it seems to me like you took someone else’s work and are claiming copyright over it which isn’t very cool. Also version control doesn’t work that well with geometry and CAD files which may be one of the reasons why Daniel doesn’t use it. Github type version control is more useful for source code, documentation, and scripted geometries.

Daniel, under what license did you release all your geometry/CAD files under?

woah there, Andre. i’m not claiming copyright at all. i’ll put whatever license he wants on it. i’m just putting it all in one place. from his words “share it all.”

if you notice, he’s noted as author, not me.

The license file in the root directory says copyright Bryan Costanich.

fixed! github automatically put that in there because i created the repo.

Better :). I’m still wondering what license the files were released under. Do you know? Anyone?

I don’t. But like i said, i’ll put whatever license Daniel wants on the Truggy.

By the way, you’ve done some great stuff! you should add your stuff there! I hear you on source control, but Git is actually really good for it. Let me know if you want to be added to the repo. I think this format is way easier to organize and document for folks.

Anyhow, i’m going to bed for the night. Hope to continue the discussion tomorrow.

Hi guys! Away skiing atm. Files are released under http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Sweet! License + Attribution added!

Ok, André’s awesome ducted fan design library is now in the repo!! https://github.com/bryancostanich/OpenRC

@Bryan_Costanich You can add the touring car aswell…

will do, can you link me? this repo is turning out fantastic, by the way. super stoked, makes it so easy to get all the info in one place. also, i added a ton of sourcing info too.
