Hey all you 3D printers out there I am thinking/wanting a 3D printer but the only problem is that I have a limited budget… it would be awesome if it had fairly good detail as well as not breaking the bank :stuck_out_tongue: What would be the best printer out there that is under a thousand bucks??? It would also be nice if it was fairly portable and not hard to opperate (excuse my spelling)

Thanks for all your help

You can not get easier then the Printrbot simple. The build area is small but the new all metal has increased to 6x6x6. The GO series is built for travel with some huge area for the price. The Printrbot line also comes with a very active community to help out in build and configuration.

Thanks @Steven_Hauser I will look into that

The Simple Makers edition with xl upgrade and the soon-to-be-released auto leveling sensor would be nice. Or the metal simple for a single buy. Disclaimer: it’s my company
Brook

Hmm that is a good point… I found the wood one and watched a few videos about that and that looks like the way that I would go if I ever decide to make the endeavor to buy one thanks for your help

I would look into a Robo3D $700

@Brook_Drumm , you’re more than welcome to suggest the Printrbot here.

Thanks @Karate_Chop but that is a little out of my price range… and thanks @Brook_Drumm for giving me the great advice on the printrbot… I will continue to look into those printers

The lulzbot bukito looks good too. There are not many portable printers, so that narrows down the choices.
As for operating, all current printers have a learning curve. From belt tensioning, calibrating extrusion rate, and calibrating your prints.

It doesn’t need to be super portable, it would just be nice for it to not be huge and heavy

Just buy prusa i3 kit or mendel. You can have kits for under 500 Eur. Eg. http://createc3d.com/shop/en/6-complete-3d-printer-kits
But you will find kits in your region too normally. You only need to have the skill to build it. Soldering required!
