Hey, does anyone know if any ws2812b strip makers will sell you raw 50cm units [specifically 30leds/m] instead of assembled strips? Light Spacing is important in my latest project, and unsoldering - realigning -resoldering the small overlaps is a pain to do.

OK, I totally phrased that incorrectly. When you buy say a 5m strip from any vendor, they seem to be half-meter lengths that are soldered together, with a bit of overlap. The overlap makes it so that the spacing between the two surrounding LEDs (and thus the rest of the strip) is slightly off – by roughly 0.5-1 mm.
To counteract this, I desolder the joint, and separate the pieces. I am left with half-meter lengths of 15 LEDs apiece. This process of desoldering (and then resoldering at the correct spacing) is time-consuming, and I’d like to skip it.
So what I am looking for is .5m lengths of fully funcitonal strips, just not soldreed into a larger reel. Unfortunately, these won’t work, the pcb thickness is out of spec for my application.
(That being said, the .5m rigid strips are cool, maybe I should get those for other stuff.)
@David_Evans Ok got it now but I have not seen a vendor that specifically offer these except in the 0,5m 144LEDs/meter variety (IE:72 LEDS!!)
I do not know how many you want but you should go directly to a manufacturer and ask.

I know they sell the individual ‘square’ led assembly loose. They have always been very responsive when I have mailed them.
