Hey Guys. Does anyone know if theres a way to hook a PWM controlled fan with 2 hotends to a ramps 1.4? I feel like there is its just not straight forward.
normally you would hook the fan up to D9, but that is going to be used for your 2nd hotend, so I guess you will need an external pwm fan driver
Yup, if you already have two hotends and a heated bed connected to your Ramps, you’ll need an external driver for the fan. A simple BC547 will do the deed.
OK. I thought that might be the case. I have some other fans over my ramps and stuff so maybe I’ll make a fancy fan controller 
Couldn’t you just connect 2 fans on one pin? While not technically correct i wouldn’t think 2 fans could pull enough to overload one pin.
Oh uea I could but the issue is I have two hot ends and a heated bed. Nothing left for fans
