Hey Guys,
I am doing some pcb milling today, and I have a question about one of the autolevel feature “the probe speed”. What would be the recommended probe speed for milling pcb?

Too fast of a probe speed I would imagine is not ideal because TinyG wouldn’t have time to react to it. I am currently using 40-60mm/s

any tips?

Yes very very slow. Like 5 mm/s

I picked the best default that I thought was the right balance between fast and slow. Too fast and you have an inaccurate read. What would be really cool is for somebody to fork the code and add a double probe. One that’s fast to get an initial inaccurate read and then one super slow that is accurate.

I might have a look at this as a way to familiarise myself and get my head around C9 environment and JS

another method could be to set number of probes per point and average them
