Hey guys, I just got a bunch of APA104 and I want to turn my top hat into a matrix display! I have seen a tutorial for neopixels (https://learn.adafruit.com/guggenhat-bluetooth-le-wearable-neopixel-marquee-scrolling-led-hat-display/coiling-neopixels) where you just coil the LEDs around the hat… is this how you do it for FastLED also? Or do they need to be cut into strips and soldered together?

Should be able to make it work similarly.
I looked a lot more into it and it seems there is no graphics library that works natively with FastLED? I think you can hack the neopixle_gfx one to work
I’m not really sure if it would be useful to you or not, but just wanted to let you know of @Aaron_Liddiment 's cLEDmatrix library if you haven’t seen it.
