Hey guys I just got my new robot 3d r1 plus a week ago

Hey guys I just got my new robot 3d r1 plus a week ago and calibration prints were just fine but when I put gcode in through the LCD controller all I get is poor adhesion to the bed and I end up with a clogged nozzle any help would be greatly appreciated, I have exported the gcode directly from matter hackers slicer anything else you can do to help will be welcome. Thank you. edit I’m using a heated bed and blue tape to make adhesion.

are you also using two coats of hairspray? What material are you using, PLA, ABS etc.

No hairspray, pla matter hackers brand.

I would get the bed up to temperature, give it a coat of hairspray, wait 3-4 mins until its dry and spray it again and then try printing once more.

No tape or with tape

well it works with both. When I first started print I used the tape that came with it, but the nozzle quickly tore up the tape, Then I just went directly on the aluminum bed.

I’ll try glue because that seems to always have worked, I’ll try the hair spray another time thanks

Glue works 50%/50% water/carpenters glue mix, The water thins it down nicely but when your objects stick they really stick and when you pull the object off, you can feel the missing glue. where hairspray doesn’t do that , and you can clean hairspray us with paint thinners.

I’m using the Elmer’s stick glue

Never tried a glue stick, when you remove your object can you feel the missing glue?

Clean the bed after each print with alcohol. I print directly on blue tape no problem. If it’s not sticking, try lowering your first layer speed, or make sure your z height is perfect.

Try Duck brand blue painters tape if you are using PLA. Should stick super well to it. I print with no heated bed and have had no adhesion problems with that tape.

Tape should work fine. You may need to wipe down the tape with some rubbing alcohol. And/or lower your nozzle a hair…
