Hey guys i know this is remotely related but i was wondering if any of you had any experience with selling custom PCBs. Im wanting to sell some of my designs but i have no idea what all i need to do or what certifications i need or licenses? Can someone point me in the right direction?
PS. All of my projects use the FastLED library so its sort of related.
I have limited experience making my own PCBs and none about selling them but I am convinced you do not need any certification or license to do so.
As with anything you would like to sell, it is all about having something of ‘value’ to a sufficient number of buyers AND reaching them somehow. The ‘right direction’ will only come after you carefully analyse the ‘value’ of you offer and the ‘real’ market for it. That can vary from just posting your items on eBay to… the sky is the limit… Good Luck !
@Cristian_Martinez Hey dunno how the moderators here would react to it but…
If what you have is even a little related to FastLED, they may allow you to simply show here what you consider to sell !?
Well, that all depends on where in the world you live, you want to sell and in what quantities. US law ends on US borders and I’m quite sure, you need some certificates in Europe (CE, RoHS, GS). I think you even need some in the US, for instance an FCC certificate if you’re using an esp8266.
No. No wireless capabilities on my boards. And it would just be on the US for now. If i have something successful going on i may decide to expand but like i said as of now i have no idea where im supposed to start lol
