Hey guys I need help badly. I just finished building my tevo tarantula and everything was working but now the X servo motor won’t move. I think it’s the socket that the pin connects to because I have connected the motor to a different wire and it moves but if I put a different wire in the x socket it won’t work
How can I maybe fix this or do I need to replace the motherboard?
What controller are you using?
Do you have removable stepper drivers?
Maybe the current is set too low?
@Panayiotis_Savva hey man um should I just send a picture? They are removable. How do I check the current sorry I’m totally new to this
Send a picture
Check the connection of the wire on the side of the controller board. If this doesn’t help, it might be the stepper driver of the x-axis. In most cases stepper drivers are tiny controllers sitting on top of the “main”-Controller. If they get installed in the wrong orientation, they get damaged when the board is powered on and need to get replaced.
@Tinkering_On_Steroid thanks for that man

Your stepper drivers are integrated no chance to mess them up easily.
Then what could be wrong sorry?
If your motor cables have connectors on both ends I would swap cables between motors to exclude them as root cause. Also connect adifferent motor to the stepper driver of the x- axis to check if that works. Still what @Panayiotis_Savva said could be true.
I did that the other cable made the x motor move as long as the cable wasn’t in the x socket. And the cable of the original x motor works for the other motors
What firmware are you using?
What board is that?
That still sounds pretty much like an issue with the x-stepper driver. If you have an voltage meter, you could check the voltage setup on the x-driver. But be carefull, the voltage meters probe connected wrong while the board is powered can cause (even more) damage. There are helpfull videos on youtube explaining that. Check them first!
Thanks man what should I YouTube exactly? I have no idea what board this is.
According to the layout on the picture, my guess would be a MKS v1.4, but not sure in that

Yeah probably. Do you think I might need to replace it?
You could install marlin and remap the pins for the second extruder to the X motor…
Maybe even dual X motor config would work…
Ie: use the port for the spare driver and remap it to the X motor…
Dude thanks so much for that suggestion!! I’ll definitely try that thanks so much
