Hey guys I posted here a couple of days ago the following problem:

I have 10 1 meter 60 LED strips with WS2812B LEDS. I am experiencing flickering only on the last 4 strips If there are unlit or dim LEDS Random LEDS will flash random colors at random intervals. If they are all lit and bright then they function as expected.

It was suggested that I may have a power problem because I was only using 22 awg wire and was experiencing power loss at the end of the strips. Today I received my 14 awg wire and re-soldered the power strips this time in reverse order. The strips that were previously on the end are now the ones that first receive power.

I still have the same problem on the same strips as before so even with thicker wire and having the strips receive power earlier the same ones still flicker. I assume that means that the data line is the problem but I have no clue how to go about fixing this. I thought that maybe the included male and female connectors were faulty but I actually tied the problem data lines together and that didnt fix anything. I would greatly appreciate any further suggestions.

edit: I’ve narrowed the problem down to one of the strips having a faulty data line. Is there anyway i could fix this myself or do I need to just buy a new strip.

Cut the bad pixel out, follow the cut lines on your stips. Then replace, or that one strip is just 59 instead of 60.

I had same issue, if you are using multiple power supplies ensure negative of output linked across transformers.
