Hey Guys! Need some help here…

I recently switch by quiet spindle to a DW60, however it’s so loud that I’m annoyed by it already lol (it only took a few cuts to get to this point) hehe

So I took the DW60 off and re-mount the quiet spindle… I thought it would be a great idea to buy these fancy quick 2 wire connector and use them so I can quickly disconnedct and re-connect the quiet spindle if ever need it… but now my quiet spindle wont spin… does that wiring has to be solid straight into the speed controller?

Is it possible that by me adding the “fancy” connector, now I’m not getting a good power supply to the spindle?

Thanks in advance!

Javier

If you have a multimeter you can check if the spindle get power.

I have two different connectors between my quiet cut spindle and the controller and have no issue with it. I Would do as Dat Chu suggests and check it with a multimeter.Just check continuity on each of the two wires from one end to the other.

@Dat_Chu @Robert_Mensing Thank u guys! @Marc_Schaefermeyer just video chatted with me and walked me through the multimeter process, and the red wire from my fancy easy plug has no juice… :slight_smile:

Well. We can’t beat video chat tech support. :slight_smile:

@Dat Chu hahaha… thanks Dat! Marc was on lunch an available to chat… :wink:

@Marc_Schaefermeyer works like a charm!! Thanks for ur time Brotha!! :slight_smile:

No problem! Glad I was able to help. @Dat_Chu Google just makes it so much easier to troubleshoot things these days.

Awesome. Sounds like it should be pretty quick work to get it back up and running. You rock @Marc_Schaefermeyer , People like you are why I love the Maker community and the Shapeoko.

@Robert_Mensing yes in deed! :slight_smile:

@Marc_Schaefermeyer I know man… some US companies making cash from us should take advantage of Goggle + :stuck_out_tongue:

@Robert_Mensing it is what you “make” it. I think we all agree that it’s more fun to “make” things then it is to consume them.
