Hey guys, new guy here trying to get better results out my K40 with

@donkjr@K1111 this is a bit of a rats nest this is a azteeg 5x board as the brains from what I can tell it’s wired to the center tap of the pot input… Don can you help clean in advice in cleaning up this mess?

I also had to use a level shifter with mine to get decent grayscale. Are you using one?

@K1111 laser output is on 1.26 could you share what pin you used on your azteeg board for the upgrade?

@K1111 I have no clue.

I just looked at your photos again and I think I see one. I’ve got mine on pin 2.4.

My bad it 1.23 to fire, in his config for an m3 m5 setup it’s setup as 0.26

Dual pin? I never got that working properly. I ended up going 2.4 to L, ground to G, 3.3v to 5V. (all through the shifter)

Here’s his config file… https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxUtiCnsV-fjMUp3N3I0R0RETm8/view?usp=sharing I may have overlooked a few things I worked a 13 hour day

Have you tried changing your PWM period to 200? 20 never worked well for me, but I do have a different PSU.

Here are couple better pics of the board…

@K1111 Alex actually had me change it to 200 with similar results with grayscale.

Have you tried foregoing the dual pin setup and going PWM, G, and 5.5v?

@K1111 I’m a total noob at this so I’m not sure where I’d even start. As for the level shifter, I think I am using one.

That’s a voltage shifter

Here’s how I’ve got mine set up:
X5 2.4 ==> PWM pin on shifter ==> L on PSU
X5 G ==> GND on shifter ==> G on PSU
X5 3.3v ==> 3.3V on shifter ==> 5V on PSU

This setup is the only way I’ve been able to do grayscale.
