Hey guys, somewhat new to 3d printing with PETG.

I had a few fairly decent prints about a month ago (first pic), albeit a bit hairy.

Now, my prints are turning out terrible with the same settings (next three pics).

Could my filament have absorbed moisture? My box claims to be airtight, though some rice I had in their previously did go bad.

The weird thing is that all the prints have decent initial layers.

Also, these last three pics were at least 12+ hours of printing, overnight.

Thanks for all your help!

Here are my settings:
1.75 mm petg
printrbot with heated bed
Cura software

layer height: .3 mm
shell thickness: 1.6 mm
retraction enabled

bottom/top thickness: 1.6 mm
fill density: 40%

print speed: 30 mm/s
printing temp: 250 C
bed temp: 87 C

support type: everywhere
platform adhesion type: brim

flow: 100%

nozzle size: 0.4 mm

retraction speed: 40 mm/s
retraction distance: 1 mm

initial layer thickness: .3 mm
initial layer line width: 100%
cutoff object bottom: 0 mm

travel speed: 30 mm/s
bottom layer speed: 15 mm/s
infill speed: 30 mm/s
top/bottom speed: 30 mm/s
outer shell speed: 30 mm/s
inner shell speed: 30 mm/s

minimal layer time: 5 seconds
cooling fan enabled

Retraction
minimum travel: 1.2 mm
combing: all
minimum extrusion before retracting: 0.02 mm
z hop when retracting: 0.6 mm

Support fill amount: 18%

looks like underextrusion, maybe as a lot is oozing away on travel. Try to print a cube (no travel) - Also check for transport

YOU ARE PRINTING TOO HOT (sorry for the caps), i have been trying to print like crazy using eSun PETG, and i finally manage to make it work, heres my settings:

Simplify3d
0.2mm Layer height

238c Hotend

5 mm/s First Layer
90c First Layer

25mm/s Print speed
85c other layers

1 mm Retraction
120mm/s Retraction speed

I dont know what you use for bed adhesion, but im currently using glass+buildtak+glue stick, once you get adhesion on the first layer it wont move unless you kick it. hope it helps.
