Hey, has anyone seen any issues with wiring a bunch of pots of of a arduinos 5v pin? I am thinking about wiring up 9 of them to Control a few different arrays. I’m just worried about overtaxing the arduino regulator, and also seeing flickering due to a unstable voltage coming from the overtaxed arduino. I plan on wiring in a few capacitors to help with some of the fluctuations, but it probably won’t take long to diminish the power of of the caps using 9 pots.

Actually I just realized that I will be using a teensy 3.1 not a arduino. The teensy was the only thing besides the Mega that would give me more than 9 analog inputs.

Note that I do not believe the Teensy has a 5V regulator on board, you need to supply it with +5V externally or power it from the USB power. If you use 5K potentiometers, they will draw 1 ma each for a total of 9 ma so that should not be a problem. Even USB supplied +5V should easily handle the added 9 ma of load !
