hey, i have some apa106’s… are they inherently different to the apa102 / apa104 cause i cant seem to get them to function correctly on the current code.
they’re 4 pin, classic rgb 5mm leds, but pinned out to be
DIN // +ve // GND // DOUT
they shine, but not fluidly, and they flicker and show weird colours etc!
The apa106 has different timings - I have a data sheet somewhere for it - open an issue on github for it so I don’t forget to track them down.
That said, they’re closer to apa104 and ws2812 - same signaling protocol, but different timings - I believe their data rate is slower, maybe 600ish kHz?
Try SK6822 or PL9823 as your led type.

Sorry after further messings I found that they were dumb LEDs and dmx controlled
