Hey.
I’m going to install a WS2812B LED strip in my computercase, but I also want my fans to light up with the same lighting effect.
Are there some 5mm rgb leds that will work together with my WS2812B’s, which I can attach to my fans? Or do you have any better suggestions?
Thanks
Personally I’d try to just cut individual LEDs from the strip and wire them up to the strip.
@Mr_Happy Can I just wire them up in loop of my led strip?
@Danny_Evans I would be pretty hard to put them on the fan, but yeah, that could work.

@Mathias_Haugaard_Mic It might be hard to put the LEDs cut from a strip on the fan, but it might be even harder to mount and then run the wires for the individual LEDs you’re proposing. What part of the fans do you want lit?
Found this a while ago in this community: control regular LEDs with FastLED

@allanGEE I wan’t to light up the fins on the fan, I got my idea from here: http://www.instructables.com/id/CPU-Fan-Hack-RGB-LEDs-Arduino-TLC5940/
@Trae_Greenlee Well, that might be a bit overkill, but it looks really nice.
@Juergen_Bruegl I don’t quite know what I should use that code to, I wan’t the leds to light up the same way as my LED strip.
But thanks for the ideas, I guess I just grab some WS2812B 5mm LED’s and mount them like in this guide: http://www.instructables.com/id/CPU-Fan-Hack-RGB-LEDs-Arduino-TLC5940/
