Hey,

I’m working on a 3D Printing turbomachinery design library written in Python for Blender. Right now it produces parametric EDF designs, but I plan on extending it to propellers.

Does this interest anyone in this group? I’m looking for peers.

I’ve been considering the possibility of supercharging a methanol glow motor for a while, relevant? I know nye on nothing about how to disign the impeller.

Yep, relevant to me. I’m a mechy. Aren’t supercharging compressors generally centrifugal?

If I’m still interested in developing this library after I achieve my current axial compressor goals, I’d like to visit centrifugal compressors. I’d help out someone wanting to contribute that type of work.

My code is hosted on http://sourceforge.net: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ductedfandesignlibrary/

Sorry, this isn’t really RC car related folks… But RC related is good right?

Depends. Normally, engine driven superchargers are positive displacement type pumps such as a Roots blower. These provide better performance at lower speeds.

ah, so not about compression but displacement. Similarly, ducted fans are basically just axial flow pumps.
