Hey.

Ive had a Prusa i3 Hephestos since February and ive started having some issues with the filament because sometime after I start printing the filament coming out of the spool starts curling, at first I thought it was a spool issue but then I swapped the spool for one ive used before without issues and the same problem happens. First spool that started happening with was a Verbatim black pla and the spool Id used without issues before and same thing happens now is a BQ magenta pla one. The curl gets worse as it goes on. Im inclined to maybe the problem being with the gear wheel??? Some help would be very appreatiated.

Thanks in advance

I had this problem with my Prusa i3. I bought a different hot end and the filament was coming out straight at first and after that curls. I believe I fixed tonight what was wrong the entire time - the spring loaded injection block. When I took the assembly apart I noticed the gear was pushed all the way back. I had to check around the internet to see if that was how it should be and found it was not. I took a couple of screws out and used a chuck key to loosen the gear on the motor and pushed it forward. I did a test print and it worked (for the first time in 2 months - I bought it in November). The injector was already assembled when I put the machine together, so it wasn’t something I did.
