Hey, so I'm looking at getting a printer,

Hey, so I’m looking at getting a printer, but I’m not sure what to get. I was looking at the Rigidbot 2, but it looks like it has a single extruder. I was looking at getting a dual extruder, with 200x200x180mm (~8x8x7) build area on the low side. And has a heated bed. Of course trying to get the best quality that covers the other requirements. I am also trying to keep the budget on the low side, but with a cap of about $600, maybe $700 at the most. Or if this budget is not enough.

" I want everything but I don’t want to pay for it… "

Sorry, I it’s almost certain that you won’t find a REASONABLE printer with these requirements in that price range.
Maybe something from China, but than you have to pay dozens of hours to fix it until it runs" good enough"

Okay, what’s would you recommend around that price range that would accommodate at least some of those requirements.

The only printer that fits this description is the xyz printing davinci duo. Otherwise it will be crappy Chinese stuff or something over a grand

If you can drop an extruder then the new Prusa I3MK2 is for you. You’re asking quite a lot for your price range if you demand the dual extruder and honestly unless you buy a sketchy Chinese kit you won’t get it. You could build your own machine for around that but seems more like you want to purchase.

Dual extrusion is more of a novelty for some. If you don’t see using it for dual material or supports then it might not be worth it. The pain is only worth so much of the “cool factor”

Dual extruders are not worth it. It’s cool and all but if it isn’t an expensive machine it won’t work as expected

Lots of people like https://folgertech.com/products/folger-tech-ft-5-large-scale-3d-printer-kit and in the near future they will have a CNC addition for $50.

Yeah, nothing trustworthy will have all that and be that cheap.

That said, I wouldn’t bother with dual extruders, the technology just isn’t there yet on desktop printers. There’s a reason duals are so uncommon.

maybe join the folgertech Facebook group and ask the users what they think of the FT5, Its actually had some really great reviews, If I didn’t already own a 3D printer, I would be getting one. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Folgertech3dPrinters/ <-- That’s the group

@Brian_Wood great beginner printer is the Printrbot Play but suffers in build volume. I would say the best options moving towards the upper end of your price range are the new Printrbot Simple Metal V2 and the I3 MK2
