Hi all !
Does anybody have a european Bill of materials for the 3DR delta reprap ?

We (doing a group order from France) have found most of the things we need relatively locally except for the correct carbon rods, and spectra line.

These two very nice BOMS are mentioned in @Richard_Horne 's blog posts (in addition to the links to some shops that are provided), but they mostly provide us sources.

Thanks in advance ! Cheers !

des bonne info sur votre doc

You might raid a local R/C Hobbiest shop. I used ‘all thread’ rod and Airplane Actuators instead of the carbon fiber rod mentioned all over. They seem to be working fine, and since the actuators were designed to work with the rod, it was pretty easy to get all effector arms equal length.

Additionally, try to find a local fastner source for your nuts, screws, washers, etc…We have ‘public use’ big box stores like Lowes and Home Depot and these are NOT places you want to by these pieces from. They like to sell screws in bags of 3 to 5 for $3 a piece…it’s a good way to go broke.

I use a company called Fastenal, and my total fastener cost came to about $25.00…and that’s with having a LOT left over of certain screws and nuts I thought I’d be using in other projects.

@Mike_Miller thanks for the tips !
The R/C Hobby shop might be worth a try, altough the prices in those shops tend to be just crazy, but still might be better of than trying to source the parts from different online shops:)

Oh you are so right about the big shops for screws and nuts etc : for my first reprap I shopped there, and nuts and bolts cost me more than all the rest of the machine combined !
We did manage to find some online shops for that though, and the price tag is around 20 euros, so close to what you paid (and as you said, leftovers are good

Yeah, there’s a few parts that I couldn’t source because I couldn’t print them myself, the R/C swivels were pretty pricey. Honestly, 3d printing has a TON of odd, hard-to-source, not-something-you-encounter in daily life stuff. Linear Bearings, ground rods, magnetic endstops, etc.

Do you happen to have a link to the R/C swivels you used ? That would help a lot thanks
Yeah not exactly run of the mill components:) But hey at least now we can buy hot ends (which are the only parts I find horribly hard to make at home without proper tooling and cannot be replaced in one way or the other with something else)

I believe these were them: http://www.horizonhobby.com/products/bulk-swivel-ball-links-4-40-DUB861

I ALSO believe I needed longer screws to make it all work.

@Mike_Miller thanks a lot , with that + the pictures of your build, should make finding the right ones much easier ! Much Appreciated !
