Hi All,
I have a printrbot simple (1401 model, wooden) that has always had the unwanted habit of mirroring all of its prints along the y-axis.
To resolve this, I’ve always just scaled the object in repetier to -1 along the y-axis. Simple, easy, and frankly, i’m a bit unnerved at trying to fix my printer by taking it apart or replacing firmware.
What I noticed, upon upgrading to Repetier 1.0.4 is that I can no longer scale in a negative number.
Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a recommended work-around for this issue?
Tried turning the Y stepper connector around?
I tried it before, and that causes it to home in the opposite direction of the end-stop.
Is there an adjustment I should be making somewhere else to make that work? I’m assuming I’ll need to change a setting on the firmware?
If you don’t want to fix the printer (or check for settings that invert axes) you could just import your stl into openscad, scale by -1 in y there and re-export. (I bet other mesh programs would gladly mirror it for you as well.)
Yeah, been doing that via Net Fabb Basic.
Will look into fixing the printer once I finish up a project (well, a gift really) for a friend. It’s about time I made the upgrade to belts anyways.
It sounds like the firmware is set wrong.
