Hi all, I hope to generate some interest in the Particle Photon (internet based).
So here is my Christmas tree code, which has been a work in progress since 2011.
It features
- smooth cross-faded transition from one program to another.
- quite a lot of different programs
- Internet controlled via my Android app!!
The video is quite old, and is when it was button controlled. It’s basically just a LPD8806 strip wrapped around a sparkly cone.
You will need Android studio to compile the app, and you will have to put your phone in developer mode. You will also need to put your device keys into the code. You can have multiple trees all controlled by the app.

Obviously because it’s FastLED you can use any LEDs.
I hope at least one of you gets the Particle bug. I will try to help anyone out who embarks on this.
