Hi all!

I need to print a part in ABS, and soluble support material is needed to be able to print the part correctly. I’ve been testing E3D Scaffold filament with it, but ABS and Scaffold doesn’t really stick to each other (as E3D has stated, but I still tried it).
HIPS is often said to be good support material for ABS, and it should dissolve with limonene. However I’ve also read, that usually the ABS part itself gets damaged before HIPS is even softened, or if low concentration limonene is used it takes ages to dissolve the HIPS at all.

My question is; is there any soluble support material for ABS plastic that really works? Or if you have any other idea, you are welcome to suggest!

High-T-Lay is fine  http://lay-filaments.com/portfolio-item/high-t-lay

@VolksTrieb Thanks for the suggestion! Their website isn’t very informative and only little information can be found easily.
Have you been using this filament with ABS? Does it dissolve completely in water?

@Topias_Korpi yes ive used it. No it wont dessolve completly. But mostly you dont need to.

HIPS works well as a break-away support. With good tuning, I’ve been able to break out supports as complete sections. This isn’t helpful for internal voids though.

Wow that T lay page is broken. The data sheet links too.
