Hi all.
I’m building my first Delta. Currently designing the magnetic rod connectors. Check out my ball holder, it holds the ball very firmly. The question is, what is the range of movement needed ? Is ~170° enough ?

It depends on the geometry of your Delta. The angle required is proportional to the diameter of the magnetic rod and inversely proportional to the length. Calculate the minimum and maximum angle of the rod when the carriage is farthest from and closest to the vertical. You then need to add the additional required by the rod diameter. The additional angle = 2*(inverse sin(rod radius/ball radius))
