hi all , i'm trying to make a little thing with 216 apa102c strip

hi all ,
i’m trying to make a little thing with 216 apa102c strip leds divided in 3 strips controled with a teensy 3.1, fastled 3.1 and i ve troubles, i don’t know where they are from. When i connect first 72 leds everything work fine but when i put second 72’s everything go wrong(leds doesn’t turn black, cycling is not correct …) For the moment my assembly is powered by a 5V power supply from a pc for tests. And i don’t know where to check ( do i need an LLC between teensy and strip? is it a trouble with 5v dc(i known at the end i need about 15A for my assembly work but my powersupply gives me about 36A ? ). Or is it possible to declare 3 strips in my sketch ?Really don’t know where to check. Thanks in advance for answers .
Best regards
mikaël
ps: sorry for my poor english

Try this if you want to address each strip seperately:
FastLED.addLeds<APA102,DATA_PIN_1,CLOCK_PIN_1, GBR>(leds, 72 );
FastLED.addLeds<APA102,DATA_PIN_2,CLOCK_PIN_2, GBR>(leds, 72, 72);
FastLED.addLeds<APA102,DATA_PIN_3,CLOCK_PIN_3, GBR>(leds, 144, 72);

If you just want to have the strips in parallel:
FastLED.addLeds<APA102,DATA_PIN_1,CLOCK_PIN_1, GBR>(leds, NUM_LEDS );
FastLED.addLeds<APA102,DATA_PIN_2,CLOCK_PIN_2, GBR>(leds, NUM_LEDS );
FastLED.addLeds<APA102,DATA_PIN_3,CLOCK_PIN_3, GBR>(leds, NUM_LEDS );

You can’t just wire APA102 in parallel (this works only with WS281x)

thanks a lot i’ve made 3 separated lines and it works really fine. Thanks again
