Hi all,

Is it possible to get LaserWeb to run on an android tablet?

As long it’s powerful enough and runs chrome 59 with webgl… Yes

So how do I do that - I’m currently running it on ubuntu using the AppImage format… can I just run that, or do I need to use some other source?

We have no binaries for android, but you can run lw.commserver to drive your machine from a computer ( or pi) and use your tablet to connect to the server and handle the ui.

Okay - thanks. I think I’ll need to drive it from Pi.

Pity - I quite like the idea of building something where the control-panel IS the computer that drives the machine… just this touch-screen that can be swapped out. Simple discrete components etc. With an android acting as the front-end onto a Pi, it’s basically relying on two computers.

Still - no worries

That’s what the FABkit uses a Pipo X9 for… Windows10 based tablet-like mini computer (which can also run Android, if you want to, as it is dual-boot-able)
