Hi all,
What are your tips on getting blue tape residue off your prints?
A lot of the times my PLA print adhere su well to the blue painter’s tape that it peels off the bed and leaves a blue gummy residue on the print bottom.
Thanks.

Try raising your Z offset .05 and see if that makes a difference.
Soak the part in water.
@Keith_Applegarth Raised it 0.05mm a bit better but if I raise it anymore I’m afraid it will not stick to the plate at all.
@Mike_Miller Really ? Interesting idea. How long do you let it soak ?
Not long, and you don’t need to submerge it, either. It’s paper based tape.
Nailpolish-remover, Aceton, petrol for washing purposes, glue-remover etc pp
@Andre_Courchesne1 Then go up another .02…
Rubin alcohol is the best thing that I’ve found. It takes that and hot glue off quite well with the type of tape I used to use.
I always wipe the tape surface with rubbing alcohol right before printing, and even though I have good adhesion, I rarely have trouble with the tape sticking to the part. On the rare occasions that the tape adheres to the part, I’ve washed it with a little dish soap, rinsed and immediately dried the part. Be careful about soaking the part because pla absorbs water.
