Hi all,

You guys helped me once with my old Arduino setup and everything works! I decided to up my game with a little upgrade but it seems something is wrong.

I am having issues with my ESP8266 and the McLighting V2 solution where my WS2812 simply doesn’t light up. I used to have an Arduino running on my LEDs and they always worked fine. I installed my ESP with exactly the same wiring as my old Arduino Nano (D5 -> digital, ground to ground, powered on usb cable). The strip is powered by an old PSU on the 5v line.

I was able to setup the wifi connection on the ESP and I was able to connect my phone to the ESP. I am able to load the McLighting page on my phone and I am able to choose the color modes on my phone.

I know this is not FastLED related but you guys are the only active community I know about.

I just noticed that my strip is flickering a lot when it’s trying to do animations like fading, breathing, rainbow mode, etc. Even static colors.

Does it have anything to do with my wiring?
