I’m considering to start from scratch again.
Does anyone have some good plans for an Aluminium CNC?

I have, but i would like to use real linear rails like SBS16 and ball lead screws.
You can replace the open build linear rail system with the “real” linear rail and still use the plans on openbuilds. The electronics should still work.
I’ve gone the other way, from ‘real’ linear rails and screws to v-trak. It works as well, is faster to build, easier to ‘tune’ and a whole lot cheaper.
You can make your own v-trak by using a router with the correct square bit on some regular aluminium extrusion to cut the 45deg angles.
My router is 2.3m x 1.5m and works just great.
Don’t dismiss v-trak, there’s a good reason it’s becoming so popular.
