Hi everyone,

I build an ambilight system for my 32 inch monitor with 131 leds.
But I’m exeriencing flickering only when colors are changing. Everything is displayed correctly but a change of color is not pleasant. And yes my PS ground is connected to my arduino ground.

I think the framerate of the video is too low, but what happens is…
When I move a window for example the leds will turn white but with alot of stutter/flickering.

Setup:
Arduino Nano
5V 10A PS
WS2812B 60leds/meter - total 131 leds
Prismatik
Everything is connected with arduino jumper cables

Does anyone have an idea? I couldn’t find anyone else with this problem.

Probably a slow framerate, you may need to speed up the data transfer to the Arduino, you may also need SPI leds such as APA102C or SK9822.

@Jeremy_Spencer How do I speed it up? I’ve tried using a higher baudrate without any noticable change. And why do I have this problem while others don’t? Too many leds?

Try only using half or a quarter the LEDs, declare your number of LEDs as half the actual number.

It could also be the fact that the connections aren’t soldered…

Does the demo reel 100 sketch work properly?
