Hi everyone. I’m pretty new to 3D printing any thoughts on the cause of the problems on this Marvin print? Namely the crease on his back and the bottom half of his ears.

Without knowing your print specs (material type, temp, speed, printer type, etc) so it’s hard to say, but at first glance it looks like you need more active cooling to help with the overhangs.

Of course noob mistake ha ha. Ok so it’s a generic Chinese Prusa i3 however I have made some upgrades. I’ve replaced the z axis threaded rods with good straight lead screws. I’ve replaced the wooden hot bed support with a 4mm aluminium plate, the y axis LM8UU bearings are now igus drylin bushings. I’ve also replaced the entire hot end assembly with an e3d v6 and titan extruded in Bowden setup and included a blower fan for part cooling.

Material is 3dfilaprint 1.75mm PLA. Temps: 60 bed, 200 hot end. Speeds: slow 20mm/s first layer 10mm/s. I’m using cura for slicing. I did try with slic3r but have found the results I get are much worse than cura.

I did another print last night with a hot end temp of 195 and it came out much better. There is still the odd blob but overall I have a pretty good print

Decrease the printing temperature (especially for the small object),Try to update the cooling system that make sure the wind cooling from around to the object ,Not just from one sides to cooling .
