Hi Folks,
I’m making a couple of wearables out of WS2812 ring PCBs and would like to waterproof them. Has anyone any recommendations of which conformal coating is good to use?
Electrolube AFA looks like a good fit: http://www.electrolube.com/products/conformal-coatings/afa/acrylic/

Any other opinions out there?

Cheers,
Robin.

I’m sure it’s expensive, and I’ve never used it myself, but humiseal was recommended by someone I know who built high voltage electronics

I talked to these guys yesterday at LFI and it sounds like the seal a lot of bike light LED’s. Their sales rep said they could do any board in clear silicon. http://www.sur-seal.com/

I’m hoping to try them out on a small test run of boards here soon. So I’ll post with my results.

“Conformal coating” is the term of art for something I can spray on to mounted led strips to weatherproof them? That’s fantastic, I will need this for a project I have coming up and didn’t know what it’s called
