Hi Folks, new to LaserWeb on my K40 laser. Running into an intermittent issue where I try to connect over USB and get “WARN:Connecting to Port /dev/cu.usbmodem1411,250000
Error: Error: Resource busy, cannot open /dev/cu.usbmodem1411” in terminal and it hangs on “opening: /dev/cu.usbmodem1411” in the browser.
I’ve tried resetting the smoothie (AZSMZ), restarting Laswerweb through the terminal, refreshing the browser, trying a different USB port on my Mac and nothing’s working.
That sounds like the port is in use somehow
Restart your Mac or take a look in activation screen. Maybe the port is still open. Also try “screen /dev/cu.usbmodem1411 115200 –L” in terminal.
@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty I’m thinking it was Simplify3D…have some 3D printing projects going on too.
Well, I thought so anyway. Now it says “Opened”, but sending jog commands isn’t doing anything.
What does the terminal say?
@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty picture attached. When I click any of the job controls, nothing happens in terminal. Not sure if it should or not.
Notice how it says Queued: 18. When I click any jog controls, that goes up by 1.
Did you install the newest http://firmware-cnc.bin on your smoorhieboard? (save the file as http://firmware.bin on the sd card and reboot smoothie)
That’s means it’s not communicating, do you have a fairly new firmware on that smoothie? Press control C interminable to close LW, close the webpage. Press the restart button the board, start LW again, open the browser to LW and then press connect
Ugh. @Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty @cprezzi when I tried installing the newest firmware, my LCD stopped working (again) and I can’t remember what I had to do to get it working again last time it did this. Starting to regret cancelling my Cohesion Mini order…
went back to this firmware http://www.reprap.org/mediawiki/images/7/76/AZSMZ_FW_Ver2.1.zip and the LCD works now. no clue how old this firmware is
Same deal with this firmware. No motion, queue number keeps going up, no feedback in terminal.
Order it, im sure @raykholo can deliver fast
I refunded Chris yesterday.
The Mini’s are arriving on Wednesday and we’ll be shipping soon after.
@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty don’t you have the AZSMZ? Do you have a firmware file you can share?
