Hi Guys.

After upgrading to the latest Marlin RC im having issues with my VIKI-X3.

The problem is with the encoder button, when i press it, it goes back to the previous menu, looks like a double press. If i race the encoder wheel i can navigate the menus.

Its the same as described on this bug:

but the proposed fix doesnt work.

Is anyone having the same issue?, im willing to test code and all.

also the g28 has some problems, its not posible to use a delta printer because you need to press the A and B tower’s endstops. Otherwise the carriages dosen’t go home at same time

Try this in your config file
#define ENCODER_PULSES_PER_STEP 3 #define ENCODER_STEPS_PER_MENU_ITEM 1

Also cofirm they you didn’t just replace your old config file in the new Marlin. It’s been hugely revamped

@Panayiotis_Savva Panucatt Viki. After playing with encoder_pulses_per_step and encoder_steps_per_menu_item i have the same results.

I find with mine it sometimes jump to the previous option when i click. Previously it used to jump to the next menu anywhere from 1 to 4 clicks, so I know that’s what they tried to fix. There is a setting in the config file I saw it when I loaded the new firmware but haven’t bothered looking for it since.

@Michael_Scholtz , iv been looking around the config files for a setting that could sound related, but failed misserably.

Can u install Repetier Firmware?
If it works ok, then we can provide this info to the Marlin development team to check how they did it.

Maybe also check that everything if hooked up correctly.
