Anybody out there been trying out a 4th axis with Chilipeppr? Also - what CAM do you use to generate the gcode? I am considering a 4th axis but it seems like there is little CAM software out there that is within reach for a hobbyist…the software is crazy expensive!
@jlauer I saw your youtube on the 4th axis setup to your 3040, have you had the chance to make some stuff with it?
Fusion360 has professional level CAM that is free for hobbyists.
Ok thanks Frank - can’t see if they have 4th axis support but worth checking out anyway 
i can’t imagine they wouldn’t… apparently the CAM in there is the same CAM that folks charge thousands of dollars for in other software.
I’ve been using Fusion 360 a lot lately and it does seem to have 4th axis, but I haven’t used it. I’ve made nothing with my 4th axis from that video as I just haven’t had the need yet.
Okey, can’t see I need it for anything myself… Just looks like fun to try 
I’ll also wait and see - onshape will provide cam functionality in the very near future.
