Hi Guys I am the process of building the Smartrapcore printer with square Aluminum

Hi Guys
I am the process of building the Smartrapcore printer with square Aluminum ( 19.07mm ) tube.
I was wonder if anyone is using a Greg’s wade extruder with their Smartrapcore because I read that Flexible filament does not do well with the Bowden extruder ?

I would appreciate your advice and which extruder I can use.

Thanks
Vaughan

I did one a while ago with connect-it and 19mm tube. I have all the designs for it. I’ve since changed subsequent printers to 25mm tube and it’s a much more refined design but the upgrades can easily still be used on the 19mm design.

On the subject of bowden. I posted a design for an extruder on thingyverse and youmagine that works as both direct and bowden.

@Michael_Scholtz Thanks , do you mind giving me a link for your extruder.
Thanks for help

Thanks @Michael_Scholtz you star. This most defiantly will help. Now to start printing the parts for the Printer

Just a tip, if ur using a dd extruder, I’d use 8mm rods instead of 6 for x and y.

Yip I am going for 8mm rods , thanks

I use 8mm for all of my printers and am looking at going to 12mm for the z axiz.
