Hi Guys. I got a shapeoko 3 and would really like to set it up with a laser.
Any suggestions on the size/type of lazer to get? I saw a few 1w all the way up to 3.8w kits avialble for it @ the link below . Is bigger better? Can the high power ones be tuned down as well? Also is there any thoughts on introducing v’carving capabilities for CNC’s like photo-v carve? (thought I saw some talk a month or so ago)

@Loren_Brandenburg ​ I have used that same laser diode combo for over 8 months on my shapeoko. Yes you can tune the power down on this using either the pot or the jumpers on the driver. In this supplier case bigger will also mean larger spot size.
