Hi guys I have a problem with my k40 I’m hoping someone can help

Here is a pic of my psu As I know there a few different models

@Craig_Goddard1
No idea why you would be working with the K,L & G signals (inputs) to install a new HVT? Ref: the vendors response.

The input to these transformers (HVT) is in the order of 600V so I would not advise hacking the wrong transformer in.
Ask them to refund or send you one with the correct connectors.

Post a picture of the bottom of both HVT’s pls. I assume the one you got was a PCB mount type and yours screws to the case???

@donkjr not sure what PCB is but mine screws to the case with plastic 3mm washers I believe the one I purchased did have a 3 pin connector on the end exactly same as mine but the one they sent only has a single black wire, didn’t think it was wise trying to wire it in thanks for the advice I will get back in onto the seller

@Craig_Goddard1 PCB = printed circuit board. Some types solder to the board so I guessed that is the wrong one they sent you.

Hey guys just an update on what’s happening with the laser, the seller finally got me the correct part which looks like one they have bodged together with bare wire showing so sorted that out got it all plugged in switched it on and bang tripped fuses out in house so checked the old one and they had put the wires in wrong, thinking now I should have checked to start with. So sorted that went to put the lid on the psu and bang again I forgot to turn the power off and the lid touched the fuse and earthed 🤦♂,so sorted that out soldered a new fuse in and replaced the fuse in the back of the laser as that blew aswell, switched it on and it all works the power is back to normal so big thanks to you all :+1: took me half a day to re align laser and mirrors then I switched the pc on to have a test run and my pc has gone into power saving mode and nothing will come on the monitor 🤦♂ So I am now trying to sort this out
