Hi guys i Ordered a 3D printer from China and been tracking the shipping to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, but it looks like it flew to Alaska and back to HK. Can anyone make heads or tails out of this?

I would guess they messed up the day things occurred, considering the plane must have crossed the international date line. The “pick up” time must have occurred before the “in transit” time.

I was navy and I switched days of the month from floating on the water before. I would hope the software would sort by universal time, but it seems like they suck too much for that. It seems they had their times listed as whatever time it was according to the locals and not according to UTC or your time. Lame…

Haha, only at fedex, where the planes are faster than the time zones themselves

Yeah, I had a laptop spend a week in Anchorage. Thought it would never move and then BAM! A bunch of updates appeared and it was “out for delivery”.

Airline itineraries do this too, all times local, but they don’t sort them like that, luckily. Keep the faith.

I see similarly insane tracking on international shipments occasionally. Just shake your head and wait it out.

At the bottom, you selected local scan time. Choose something like destination scan time, see if that makes more sense.

@Jeff_Jibson Yes that works better, Just one of the times is out of place now

I quit using most vendor tracking after I discovered http://www.17track.net/en/
Which I especially like for tracking my ebay, slow boat from China orders.

I have the Deliveries app on my iPhone. 5 bucks well spent, in my opinion, for the obsessive tracker such as myself.

Send the tracking info to the distributor of the merchandise is the best way to get results in my experience.

I have several FedEx Internationals inbound a month. You’ve got a clearance delay in Ottawa it’s departed AK and inbound to wherever they enter Canada.

Because you have “local scan” selected in the tracking, it’s showing you what time locally the item was scanned. I track mine by “destination” so it’s sorted by the time where I am, rather than where the package is.

Well Guys it came today, & days shipping and 7 days lead time. Boy I’m impressed with the quality, Well the SS has light scratches on the face, not really worried about it, but they could of wrapped each SS part, not just toss them in a box. Other than that, This is a really good starter kit, from SS frame to proper lead screws, Good soldering on the heatbed, Thick aluminum bed, etc.

The best part is I asked for them to swap the Melzi board for a MKS Base clone and well they added a free MKS Base board and matching LCD, so now I have 2 boards and LCD, great for my next project.
