Hi guys!

I was seaching on the internet for a RC car frame and I found one. This frame is really cool but is it compliable with an engine?

Thanks anyways!

At first glance, I would say it will fit either a 540 or 550 sized motor can based on the motor mount visible. Do you really need an all aluminum frame though? Seems a bit pricey for what you get.

Those are stock Axial SCX10 frame rails (steel) with all aluminum (maybe from Integy) parts in place of the stock plastic ones. The rails are easy to find on eBay and cost about $38 per set.

And it is indeed sized for 540/550 motors.

Годная штука, жаль что из за санкций США рубль сильно ослаб. Сейчас эта вещь стоит в два с половиной раза дороже чем должна стоить… Реальная ее цена 15675 рублей, а не 30796, как сейчас мне показывает ali

I just need a cool frame with a nitro engine. I saw this frame but it’s the right frame for nitro engine is it? If there any suggestions please post them

No, this is an electric crawler rig. I guess it depends on your end goal. Do some searching for “truggy roller” and go from there.

I would ask, why nitro when a brushless electric drivetrain is just as fast?

Because a nitro engine is cool and I dont like charging.

Электродвигатель мощнее.
Ресурс практически не ограничен
Можно ездить в зале/закрытой комнате.
Но есть и недостатки - аккумуляторы.

Do you have the motor already and if so what size? If you’re just looking for something to just play with that will take a bit of a beating, you can also look at something like the Traxxas Nitro Stampede. It’s 1/10 scale so it’s a bit smaller but it’s actually a fun little truck to just beat around in the back yard.

A Traxxas T Maxx might also fit your needs as well.

@Carl_Fisher I doesn’t have the motor but i saw this one on ebay:

If I got everything I want to put a raspberry PI in it and make a website to control the car. So I’m looking for a really cool and fast car.

A little bit of advice. I used to race r/c and was deep into it. A .28 motor is too big for most of what you are wanting to do. A .21 is typically the normal for a race spec engine.

The following is just purely my opinion. Take it or leave it as you wish but at least take what I am about to say to heart. I’ll never tell someone not to do something creative, but at the same time you need to know what you’re working with.

That said, I really don’t think you want the dangers and drivability issues of nitro from a web based interface. They are not point and shoot like an electric car can be and can actually be pretty dangerous. I’ve personally witnessed runaways put people in the hospital on more than one occasion with broken ankle as well as head injury because of lost signal and the throttle was wide open or some other failure that prevented the vehicle from stopping when control was lost. And that was in a controlled and enclosed track condition.

Also if you’ve never run a nitro motor, they are very finicky to air temp, humidity, etc… It’s a relatively steep learning curve to tune them properly.

You can get some serious horsepower brusless motors and charging LiPo battery packs actually is not that bad. Keep 2 or 3 packs in rotation and you will always have one charged and ready to go.

@Carl_Fisher Thanks for your advice bro!

No problem, just thinking safety over everything else from past experience. That said, a web controlled r/c car has been on my wish list for some time now. just haven’t figured out how to implement things like reliable connectivity and latency issues.

Use the Mobile network in your country and host an Apache server on your Raspberry pi. If you use the ‘exec()’ variable in php you can run every command you want :). Just bought the raspberry 2 and I think I will get it tomorrow
