Hi, guys! I’m about to send in a new revision of Replicape (3D printer cape for BeagleBone), one that is more compatible with BeagleBone Black. If anyone would like to review the schematic and layout, that would be great! I’m also interested in other suggestions for improvement. Read about what’s new here: http://hipstercircuits.com/replicape-revision-a2-ready-for-review/

Very interesting, especially thinking about an @OctoPrint instance running directly on the underlying BeagleBone…

I dream of a day, where we will have an infinite amount of axis’, temperature probes, and high power output mosfets that we can modularly add to a board!

Gina, really? I thought that was only for rpi. I’ll look into that…

@Elias_Bakken it’s for anything that’s capable of running python, so a BeagleBone should work too.

@ThantiK , you can stack up to 4 replicapes on top of each other, but then they would all do the same:)

already working on getting octoprint working

@Koen_Kooi tricky?

it’s python, so it is never easy

@Koen_Kooi I have to disagree there :wink:

Let us know when it’s ready, I need one for my Beagle Board Black Badly !!!

Sure thing, James! I’ll have a few extra boards to spare if you want to get a head start. Other than that, CircuitCo will produce Replicapes as a part of winning the cape contest a while back. Hopefully they’ll go for this new revision:)

I like the look of the new revision. I was excited for the original generation, I’m even more excited for this one. My BB Black is ready for its cape :slight_smile:

Stephen, glad you like it! Like I said, I have a few extra boards, so just let me know and I’ll hook you up:)
