Hi guys, I’m looking for info on the A axis I see in LW4. I believe this might be for a rotary attachment. I’d like to learn what I can about it so any links or info you have would be great if you feel like sharing. Thanks!

+Peter van der Walt, looks like I got most of the answer I was looking for. Would you be able to also provide me with info on hardware setup for this? Ie, does the Y axis need to be connected to said rotary tool or can I use an available motor output on smoothie and modify the config to point it there?
This was done to be used with the A axis click it and generate http://some.code to check first
If so then you will need to setup an additional driver as A on the config
@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty , does that also mean I’ll have to compile the binaries for a 4th axis or has that bit been done already in the cnc firmware? I was reading about adding 4 5 and 6 axis (ABC) and that I’d I need to make clean then make axis=4, cnc=1 I believe. Then from there remove the extruder info from the config and add the addition axis support. Sound about right?
There was a bin already for that, not sure how updated it is. Maybe @Arthur_Wolf can help
