Hi guys I’m not sure if it’s just me having this problem or could someone point me to the post if it has been brought up already.
I have installed the latest Mac LW4 fronted 4.0.732 with 4.0.68 backend and for some reason I can add a document but once placed and I try to add it to job list the software freezes. Please see the included video as I am unsure how to describe this proberly.
Thanks for posting a vid of what is going on, makes troubleshooting much easier So the software itself really does not freeze from the looks of things, you can still click and choose other things. What appears to be the real issue is that once you drag the document to the actions area it does not successfully load in that area and gives you no options to create a tool path. @Todd_Fleming any ideas of what could be going on here? I noticed it was with two different files. Were they both the type of file (dxf, svg etc.)? If they were both dxf especially, I would try loading a different file type to see if you get the same behavior. Let me know what it does with diffferent file types.
It may be a materials database incompatibility… I’ve had the same! What was the previous version you’ve updated from?
You may have to fully reset LocalStorage…
@funinthefalls Yes you got it, it doesn’t actually freeze but doesn’t load the job. I will try it with a jpeg for rastering. I didn’t have a problem before but I dont know what version I was running. I have now tried two other versions and had the same problem so I am wondering if it’s not actually a LW issue.
I used appcleaner to uninstall the previous versions but there is obviously some residual data being left as my K40 profile I created within the software is still there on the newly install version.
Both Files are from the same Sketchup job and both are exported as polylines .dxf files.
Do you have a different PC that you could install LW4 on? If so we can try and rule out either your drawings, or the LW you have installed. I f that does not give us a direction to continue troubleshooting in, then I think I will need to have on of the devs weigh in on the issue. But don’t give up, we will get it resolved.
It’s in “About” now (“Reset to factory defaults”), when I had the issue, you used to have to go to the %USER_DATA% folder and delete the files manually!..
