Hi Guys! Okay so I know next to nothing about 3D printing and it is still a very small market in my country. I want to import one from USA because of the exchange rate I dont want to spend more than $500. What software does one use to design a piece? What material should I use?
I want to print parts for 1/10 scale Radio Control cars, nothing bigger than 15X15X5cm (5.9"X5.9"X2").
If anyone could advise me.
Thanks

I love @Printrbot , the simple is a bit small for your size. The metal is about the right size, but may be on the high side of your budget. realize that you loose about 5-10mm of the X-Y due to skirting around the print, not necessary, but useful.
Thank you, what exactly are microns resolustions? I assume the more microns the better the build?
No. It is positional accuracy. 3d printing is actually 2.5d think of it like layers of card board being stacked up. 400 microns would be similar thin card board, 100 microns would be like card stock paper. You need more thin layers to make a model, but it would look better.
As far as things 100 microns is standard. Below that prints take forever

Thanks Peter and everyone else for the help! I am now reading up and getting into this slowly!
