Hi Guys,
Please can you give make some advice how I can increase the size of my Glass plate on my heated bed. I like increase by about 20mm on both sides. Problem one is the bolts will not allow the glass plate to lay flat on the heated bed.
2. When glass is bigger than the heated bed, I will not be able to use the clips anymore to keep the glass plate down / attached to the bed.

Any ideas how I could do this ?

On my i3, I use an aluminium bed that has inset screws, making it completely flat.

Thanks guys, Ok I have Aluminum bed, need to adapt it to fit. The question is now that I have made the aluminum bed sit flat, how do I fix it to the Heated bed without it moving. At the moment the clips keep the bed from move off the heated bed ?

You wouldn’t really want to put glass on top of an aluminium bed.

Aluminium tooling sheet should be machined flat enough to take bed preparation material directly. You might want to look at something like BuildTak.

@Vaughan_Lundin The aluminum bed should be attached using the same screws that hold the heater PCB to your carriage plate, so the heater PCB should be under the aluminum bed, and both should be on top of the springs.

Thanks guys , it looks like I am not going to increase the bed size. I prefer taking the plate off the bed to remove my parts. I like the idea of clips to remove the plate quickly. Thanks for the help.
