Hi!
I am facing a problem i would appreciate if anyone can help …
I am using LW4 (Latest version) with C3D mini and GRBL-lpc . As you can see from the photos in the sides of the parts that i engrave is darker … like the laser head stays longer than supposed to stay… I use the default acceleration settings in GRBL ($120=2500 and $121=2500) and is enough for my machine i think if i raise it more i will have problems … So my question is can i change something in LW for example or other value in GRBL that i don’t know to prevent this from happend?

Thanks!

In laser raster options, try overscan 10 - 20 mm.

@Roberbike ok i will try that … Thanks a lot!

That should be exactly the setting you need.

Alternatively did you set GRBL to laser mode enabled? This will reduce laser power relative to the current speed when accelerating

@Gordon_Rogers yes I use the version from Ray’s website…

Means M4 start gCode instead of M3. M4 is variable power.

Ah ok… I check this out tomorrow… I don’t remember what’s the setting is right now.

@Roberbike thanks … that was the solution to my problem I set to 10mm Overscan and the burnmarks left.

@Kostas_Filosofou which M is in your start gCode right now, out of curiosity?

@raykholo M4 …was as default … I didn’t change anything in my start gcode … I just changed the profile in LW from smoothiware based to GRBL based…

@Kostas_Filosofou can you post a picture of the last piece lasered, to see the difference?.
Thanks.
